Superheroes of Eastfield

Children and staff at Eastfield Primary School dressed up for the day to support a very special superhero.

Pupils were moved by the story of a little girl, Arianna, who lives locally and has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Her family are fundraising so that she can access potentially life-saving treatment overseas.

The school council decided to help five-year-old Arianna and her family by holding a series of events to raise donations, starting with a superhero non-uniform day.

Ben Statham, headteacher, says: “There were many brilliant costumes on display across the school, from both children and adults alike. Although the day was fun, it was in aid of raising money for a very serious cause. We are all very proud to be raising money for Arianna.”

The school, which has already raised more than £600, will be organising further fundraising events in the future to help support Arianna. You can visit the JustGiving page here.
