‘Pupils strive to do their very best’

Congratulations to Round Diamond Primary School on a fantastic Ofsted report following its inspection in March.
The school, in Stevenage, was judged to be Outstanding in 2017 and inspectors confirmed that it has maintained this exceptional standard.
The report says: “Pupils are polite, friendly and confident. The values of responsible, determined and successful underpin everything pupils do. Pupils strive to do their very best, even if they find learning challenging. They concentrate and engage with the discussions that take place in their classes.
“Pupils listen attentively to the staff as well as each other. They are courteous in their responses. Pupils enjoy their learning, as the staff make it interesting. They live up to the high expectations that staff have of them and achieve well.”
Inspectors also commended the school for its “exceptionally designed” and “broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum” that builds on pupils’ knowledge. The working culture was also praised, with the report saying: “Staff are highly positive about working at the school. They know that support is available for them if they need it.”
It adds: “The school takes into account staff’s thoughts and opinions, especially when considering workload and well-being. Leaders and the trust work together to ensure the school continues to go from strength to strength.”
