Ivy Summer Magazine 2024 – Out Now!
As we come to the end of another busy year for our schools, it’s a great time to reflect on the amazing things our community has enjoyed and achieved.
Over the academic year, we had four Ofsted inspections. Crabtree Infants’ and Junior Schools were both rated Outstanding in all areas, Brimsdown received an overall rating of Good with Outstanding elements, and we are awaiting the outcome for The Wroxham. Walker featured in The Sunday Times top 500 primary schools in England and we welcomed Windhill21, an Outstanding school in Bishop’s Stortford, to the Ivy family.
With brilliant learning came plenty of fun. From pop-up swimming pools to circus big tops, virtual reality adventures to school trips, our pupils had an exciting year. Children performed at our annual celebration Ivy’s Got Talent, took part in our Ivy Parliament and proudly represented their schools at sporting and musical events across the country.
We continued to develop our SEND expertise with our autism hubs at Lavender and Brimsdown and our Additional Resource Provision at Eastfield, and we successfully rolled out British Sign Language (BSL) to 14 schools. Congratulations to all the Ivy children who received their Signature BSL Awards this year.
As we say goodbye to our Year 6 pupils, we’d like to wish you all the very best as you start your exciting new chapter. The memories you’ve made and the values you’ve learned will be with you as you stride confidently into Year 7.
