Donate a device

Do you have an unwanted laptop or dongle lying around? If so, please donate it today and make a difference to a child in need, helping them to keep learning during lockdown.

With the majority of the 3,000 children across our eight primary schools learning from home again, we need extra devices to give to families who don’t have access to this technology. This is crucial to ensure that disadvantaged children aren’t left behind.

We also need laptops to support our key worker and vulnerable children who are still learning at school. Although the government has pledged to provide devices to schools to enhance online learning provision, unfortunately it is simply not enough to go round.

We’ve launched a GoFundMe page to raise money for new Chromebooks and 4G dongles, so that we can keep disadvantaged and vulnerable children learning during lockdown. However, we would also be extremely grateful for your unwanted devices.

You can drop off laptops and dongles at any of our eight Ivy schools. A box has been placed in each school’s reception area so that you can hand over your device contact-free. Please email us at it@ivylearningtrust.org before donating so we can make sure the reception area is open when you come. If you have any questions at all, do get in touch. Thank you.

We will do our best to erase any remaining data on the devices before they are issued to students, we ask that prior to donating any device from the school, you ensure that any data held on the device is a) saved elsewhere and b) all data is erased. The School take no responsibility for any remaining data on the devices, once the device is received.
