Children celebrate new look Watchlytes

Children at Watchlytes Primary were thrilled to see the amazing new art installations at their school, which are part of a wider refurbishment.
The colourful new floor to ceiling displays, which cover the science and history curriculum, are already helping to spark the imagination and create a buzz around the school.
Corridors have been freshly painted, with new flooring added, and the classroom layouts have been updated. The school has also installed a new learning hub and chill out areas.
Sophie Wenlock, Head of School, says: “The children were so excited to see the art installations and the dinosaurs were definitely a huge hit. The school is looking fantastic, and our new look really reflects what a warm, ambitious and exciting place Watchlytes is to learn and play.”
This year Watchlytes celebrated some amazing results, with 88% of early years children reaching a good level of development, 81% passing the Year 1 phonics check and Year 6 achieving a combined percentage of 67% in their SATS – all above the national average.
