Our Executive Team

Matthew Kleiner-Mann – CEO

Matthew is a qualified teacher with over 20 years’ experience of school leadership, including as a headteacher and executive headteacher. For the last 10 years, he has also worked as a government-appointed National Leader of Education, supporting colleagues in other schools in giving the very best education to their children.

 

Richard Crompton – Chief Operating Officer

Richard joined Ivy Learning Trust as Chief Operating Officer in April 2024 where he leads the corporate service functions that support the trust’s schools, and includes facilities, IT, data, HR, legal and compliance, governance, health & safety and contract management.
From 2021 to 2024 Richard was Director of Operations for Bellevue Place Education Trust. Prior to that Richard worked for the David Ross Education Trust (DRET) as Head of Estates, Facilities and Operations and has remained a local governor at several schools at DRET.

 

Clara Seery – Director of Education

Clara joined Ivy learning Trust as Director of Education in September 2024 having over 25 years experience in education. She is an experienced school improvement professional. Prior to joining Ivy Clara lead a Regional Improvement Consortia in South Wales. Her role in Ivy is to ensure that school leaders have the right support to provide an excellent education for all learners. Clara is also the safeguarding lead for the trust.

 

Frances Lorente – Director of Governance

Fran joined Ivy Learning Trust in May 2018, leading on the governance function for the organisation. She ensures our Trustees can carry out their role overseeing the strategic direction, educational performance and financial management of the trust and that Members oversee our vision and governance. At the local governance level, Fran manages the relationship with the local governing bodies at each of our schools. Fran has over 20 years experience in a range of governance roles across different education settings as well as the BBC and Environment Agency.
